Rising before the House of Representative to give his remarks ahead of a House floor vote on the impeachment of President Trump, Rep. Jim Jordan suggested Democrats forgot two important things.
"They forgot about the facts and they forgot about fairness," said the Ohio Republican. "Democrats don't care."
Jordan, 55, rebutted the Democrats' two articles of impeachment alleging the president committed acts of abuse and obstruction.
During his three-minute speech, Jordan listed the successes of Trump's tenure before referencing one of the president's campaign promises to "drain the swamp."
"Guess what? When you 'drain the swamp,' the swamp fights back."
Jordan closed his speech by attacking House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for her bias against the president before asking that the American people be allowed to render a decision at the ballot box next November.
"Democrats have never accepted the will of the American people. Nancy Pelosi made that clear four weeks ago when she called the president of the United States an impostor. The will of, 'We the people,' the 63 million folks who voted for this guy, made him president in an Electoral College landslide. They've never accepted that fact. We are less than 11 months away from the election. Let the American people decide who should be president. Let the American people decide."
