“An Exuberant Declaration of Faith”
The third week of August, 2017, a number of painful, yet incredible events took place which shook my very foundation and brought me to a place of pure humility, sorrow, and a sort of “rock bottom.” It was during this time that from this rubble that had been my life God lifted me, dusted me off, and the following week would be one of constant divine downloading, understanding, and the most incredible breakthrough allowing me to enter into God’s “Quiet” place.
As the days rolled on I was literally in a state of constant communion with God in this Quiet Place and the abundance of “downloads” I was receiving increased at an exponential rate. Out of this an underlying theme began to come in to focus-
- God is calling for us to become aligned with him, in his perfect plan and perfect love, allowing for the release of EXTREME Faith and his people to live in such abundance that the blessings that would follow would quite literally begin healing our nation, and all of us.
A few months have rolled by. I’ve underwent some of the most incredible, scary, stressful and down right insane, events in my life. As I was doing devotions earlier God kept nudging me to look back at “Psalms 27.” Amazingly enough, Psalms deals with the exact underlying theme of God’s messages to me: Extreme Faith – Extreme Blessings.
The entire passage of Psalms 27 has been the most prominent building block of my life since I could read. Yet, this time God pointed out a few verses that I’ve never thought of like this before. The enlightened version of these verses gives me chills because it speaks directly to this tumultuous time in my life. Having faced Doxxing, attacks from friends, family, millions upon millions of strangers, and more, I can say with full certainty that Psalms 27:10, 12-13 speak directly to me and what I’ve been enduring and I’ll hazard to guess that it applies directly to most of you reading this.
Psalms 27:10- “When my Father and Mother forsake me – then the lord will take care of me.”
David is using the dichotomy of “Father and Mother” to convey something very important. The “Family” unit, in God’s perfect plan anyway, is supposed to be of the strongest bond and a persons place of rest, peace, love and respite from the evil of the Earth. By David discussing the total breakdown of this unit we are being directed to the truth of God and his perfect love. That no matter what, who, or when hell may be facing you, no matter if you have those you’re supposed to be able to lean on, draw strength from, or not, God’s love is absolute. It’s all-encompassing. Thus, we can all be of extreme faith in knowing God is NOT leaving us.
Psalms 27:12-13 - “Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries; For false witnesses have arisen against me, and such as Breathe out violence. I would have LOST HEART, unless I had BELIEVED. That I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.:
The thing about David is, he faced some of the largest enemies, enemy attacks, and events that should have completely crushed him. What David is discussing here is the enemies not of some foreign land, kingdom or court, but rather his own people. His own politicians, leaders, and even direct FAMILY.
During this period in his life David was being literally attacked from absolutely every single angle possible. Much like most of us face at some point in our life. What is SO VERY important about this verse is David changed the narrative. He’s already discussed attack from outside sources and God persevering. What he is doing now is including another type of enemy. The same type that most of us in modern times still face daily: Attack from those closest to us which leaves most of us feeling like there is no way out or through.
David was being slandered by his family, courts, and people. Attacking his honor, his accomplishments, and twisting his own words to others so they may draw tension and doubt of David. He was literally left with NO Safeplace. NO single place that he could “recharge.” Take a breather, if you will. It would have been VERY simple, and most of us wouldn’t have blamed him, to throw his hands up. Give up. Tell the world “You Win! You want a bad guy, well I’ll be the bad guy!” He could have allowed his ego to run rampant. Instead, he did something so unprecidented that I feel is the most important verse in the whole chapter.
“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed, that I would see the goodness of the lord in the land of the living.”
David Switched Narrative to emphasize this very important lesson: If he didn’t have FAITH before this horrid season, DURING it, and AFTER, he wouldn’t have made it. Period. The entire time David remained of extreme faith. Remained in the ideology that God’s Goodness, his promise, and grace IS in this planet and even though he’s in a really bad, dark, tumultuous season now, he will see God’s Light when he’s through it.
